Ole Miss Engineering – all you need to know

Come discover Ole Miss Engineering!

You’ll find supportive teachers, great co-op internship placements, research opportunities and, of course, the spectacular Ole Miss atmosphere.

1. First step – check out our academic programs

We’ve got the engineering program that’s right for you:
Biomedical engineering | Chemical engineering | Civil engineering |
Computer engineering | Computer science | Electrical engineering |
General engineering | Geological engineering | Geology | Mechanical engineering |

2. Find out about all the extracurricular engineering activities

You can get hands-on experience with a co-op or internship. Or you could participate in a research project in your area of expertise. Or join one of our many student organizations.

3. See if you meet our admissions requirements

Engineering is a tough degree – so you need to have a strong academic foundation, especially in math. Find out more about the entry requirements for Ole Miss Engineering.

4. Apply now

Head over to admissions.olemiss.edu to apply – and don’t forget to fill out the scholarship form once you have an application number.  Around 70% of our engineering students receive scholarships or financial aid – don’t miss out.

5. Come visit us

You can meet with representatives from the dean’s office and our engineering departments…and sit in on a class if you want. Plus, you’ll be able to meet current engineering students and find out first-hand why they chose Ole Miss!

The second annual BME Chili Cook-Off was held last The second annual BME Chili Cook-Off was held last Friday, and Dr. Thomas Werfel, Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, took home the gold.

The competition was fierce, but Werfel's "Screw You, We're From Texas" chili ultimately came out on top! 🌶️

WE24: Together We Rise is a three-day Society of Women Engineers conference featuring networking, career insights, and industry leader connections. Attendees engage in leadership and engineering workshops, building relationships and empowering women in the field ✨
Our alumni panel, ‘Now, Ever, Always: 125 Years Our alumni panel, ‘Now, Ever, Always: 125 Years of Excellence’ celebrated the achievements of six alum who have helped shape our legacy.

Thank you to Mr. Darin Van Pelt, Mr. Bill Parsons, Dr. Lucy Priddy, Mrs. Barbara Kerr Beckmann, Mr. Al Hilliard, and Dr. Markeeva Morgan for sharing your experiences as an Ole Miss Engineer. 

We look forward to continuing to honor their legacies for years to come ✨
