First-Year Experience

All new students at the University of Mississippi participate in a First-Year Experience course (EDHE 105 or 305), designed to build essential skills like time management, effective study habits, and college success strategies.

Ole Miss Engineering students take a specialized introductory course tailored to their journey. Along with addressing these foundational skills, the course offers a hands-on exploration of each engineering field. Students engage directly with professors from all our departments, gaining insights into the opportunities and career paths within each discipline to help them choose the major that fits their goals.
