Guidance and Support
From academic advising to tutoring services, Ole Miss Engineering provides the resources you need to excel. Our advisors can help you plan your coursework, and our tutors provide extra support to master challenging subjects.
For non-engineering course support, such as:
- Social Science / Humanities / Fine Arts courses: Use our advising guidance for social science, humanities and fine arts courses to make sure you meet your non-engineering requirements.
- General advice: If you need advice on academic policies, general school administrative requests, or your personal well-being, the Student Services team in 111 Brevard Hall is available to talk with you.
Free Tutoring Sessions
Our tutors are knowledgeable in their subject areas and can assist with most questions, but as fellow students, they may not have all the answers or be able to re-teach course material. For advanced questions, consult your instructors.
To prepare for your tutoring session, make sure you:
- Carefully read the course material you want to cover.
- Organize your questions for the tutor.
- Bring your textbook, class notes, and graded quizzes and assignments to the session.
