Engineering K-12 Outreach
Ole Miss Engineering provides hands-on experiences that spark curiosity, build STEM skills, and give K-12 students a firsthand look at the world of engineering.

Inspiring Young People for STEM Careers
At Ole Miss Engineering, we believe that curiosity and creativity drive the future of STEM. Through our outreach programs, we empower students to explore the possibilities of engineering in dynamic ways. Whether solving real-world challenges in our summer camps or getting a head start on college coursework, young innovators can discover their strengths, connect with like-minded peers, and gain practical experience that prepares them for success.
Engineering Summer Camps

Middle School Camp: Discover Engineering
Discover Engineering introduces rising 7th-9th graders to engineering fundamentals through creative challenges and real-world problem-solving. Students will develop critical thinking skills, explore how math and science apply to everyday innovations, and experiment, build, and invent in a supportive environment.

High School Camp: Engineering Summer Academy
For rising 10th through 12th graders, the Engineering Summer Academy provides an immersive experience in engineering education and career exploration. Students will work on design projects that are similar to real-world engineering challenges, collaborate in teams to develop problem-solving strategies and tour university labs and industry spaces to see engineering in action.
Engineering Summer College

Pre-College
During this pre-college experience, students will earn college credit and engage with UM faculty to explore the engineering profession, live on campus and connect with peers from across the U.S., and learn Python programming and apply it to real-world problem-solving.
