The goal of the Office of Student Services is to support undergraduate students in the School of Engineering from the college search process and enrollment to graduation (and everything in between). The Student Services staff provides a variety of services, programs, and facilities that advance student success, inspire students to make lifelong positive contributions to society, promote an inclusive environment, and enrich the University of Mississippi and the School of Engineering community. These services range from career and academic counseling, professional development opportunities, tutoring and mentor programs as well as providing guidance to student organizations.
The Office of Student Services also assists prospective students and families who are interested in learning more about programs within the School of Engineering and coordinates scholarship awarding processes.
To this end, we are committed to engaging and cultivating the undergraduate engineering student by providing opportunities that promote development of the whole student academically, socially, emotionally, and professionally.
Important forms such as degree aplication, administrative request, petition for late withdrawal, pre-approval to transfer credits, forgiveness, and more are available in one place.
The School of Engineering offers tutoring and academic resources to help students excel in their classes.
Joining a student organization is an excellent way to get involved on campus, further your career, and boost your resume. Ole Miss Engineering has a professional society for each discipline as well as honor societies and organizations such as Engineers Without Borders, Engineering Service Corps, and more.
The School of Engineering at the University of Mississippi has several co-op programs with various companies. Co-ops are an outstanding way for our students to work with employers from a variety of industries in gaining valuable professional experience, which often lead to job offers upon graduation.
The Engineering Student Body provides many services to its students including tutoring by personally selected tutors as well as the mentor program. Officers are elected by the ESB.
