Spero Peters (Mechanical Engineering)
Spero Peters is a 2010 mechanical engineering graduate with over six years experience in the nuclear industry. Since joining Bechtel Corporation, Spero has worked on a variety of commercial power and government nuclear projects.
Currently, as a mechanical field engineer at Plant Vogtle Units 3 & 4, Spero is responsible for the installation of safety-related mechanical systems. When completed, these two reactors will be the first U.S. nuclear power plants fully constructed in the 21st century. In previous roles, his engineering work has included mechanical systems design and computational radiation modeling for the designs of a small modular nuclear reactor and a nuclear waste processing plant.
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Spero holds a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is also a registered professional engineer.
