Sarah Farris (Electrical Engineering)

Sarah Farris is in her sixth year as a Controls Engineer for Guardian Manufacturing. She has been responsible for a vast array of systems integration for multiple industrial manufacturing, entertainment, and aerospace companies across the country, including NBC Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Simpsons, and other entertainment venues, United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV Launch Ground Support Equipment, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Satellite Processing Facilities, Owens Corning Housing Products, among others. Sarah has also been the onsite project coordinator for multiple contracts, including a large-scale control systems and safety upgrade for Universal Studios Orlando Theme Park rides, and has been on the safety analysis team for multiple automation systems in all these industries.

Sarah is a 2012 electrical engineering graduate of Ole Miss. In her time at Ole Miss, Sarah served on the leadership team for the school chapters of Tau Beta Pi and the Society of Women Engineers. She graduated as a Taylor Medalist and was chosen as a finalist for the Outstanding Engineering Senior award. A Nashville, TN native, Sarah now resides in Florida’s Space Coast and in her free time enjoys being outdoors year-round in the Central Florida weather when she’s not traveling to visit family and friends across the country.
