John Mark Holliday (Chemical Engineering)
Holliday, a Certified Financial Planner with over 25 years in the financial services industry received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mississippi where he was a Carrier Scholar and was named to the Ole Miss Student Hall of Fame. He earned an MBA from the University of New Orleans and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin's Graduate School of Banking.
Holliday began his career in New Orleans as a Reservoir Engineer with Exxon's Offshore Production Division. While there, his responsibilities included serving as reservoir engineer for Exxon's Lena project which at the time was the world’s deepest water oil and gas production field and later as a member of Exxon's Offshore New Ventures Group evaluating the commercial viability of deep water oil and gas discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico. Holliday joined BancorpSouth in 1989 and served in commercial lending, administration and private banking before entering the financial advisory field in 1996.
Holliday is a graduate of Leadership Mississippi and has been named to Mississippi's Top 40 Under 40. He is active in a number of community, civic, church and business organizations and in addition to the Engineering Advisory Board serves on several other boards including the Mississippi 4-H Foundation and Northeast Mississippi Financial Planning Association.
