Derrick Wilson (General Engineering)

Derrick Wilson has more than 20 years of engineering, management, and commercial experience in several top global companies in a wide array of market segments. These companies include Air Liquide, Samsung, ON Semiconductor (a Motorola spin-off), & General Electric. Specifically, during an 11-year career with global giant GE, Derrick held strategic roles as sales executive, global black belt, & global key account manager in several GE businesses, such as GE Power & Water and GE Oil & Gas.

Derrick also has been quite active in supporting the University while serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and as President of the Engineering Alumni Chapter.

Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant by the University’s Army ROTC unit in Military Intelligence, Derrick earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from Baylor University. He currently lives in Plano, TX.
