David Terreson (Geological Engineering)


David is a practicing clinical and interventional cardiologist who graduated from Ole Miss with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1982 and the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1986.

He subsequently trained at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas where he was Chief Resident, and then the Texas Heart Institute in Houston where he was Chief Fellow. He has been the medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Seton Medical Center in Austin, as well as being involved in numerous clinical trials in Cardiology.

He is currently an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas, where he has done work with the development of nanofiber technology for clinical monitoring as well as delivery systems, including nanocarriers, for the delivery of therapeutic proteins in advanced peripheral vascular disease.

He is married to Pam, Bachelor of Physical Therapy, UMC, 1984 and has 2 girls, Kelsey and Kendal.
