Dear Alumni and Friends
of Ole Miss Engineering,

On April 19 the School hosted the annual Engineering Honors Banquet. About 150 alumni, faculty, and students attended. During the banquet, we honored a Barry Goldwater Scholar, Nikki Reinemann, a senior of chemical engineering (the second chemical engineering student to receive the national honor in 3 years), a Fulbright Scholar Martin Ducote, Mechanical Engineering senior, as well as 11 Taylor Medalists (a record number for Engineering). We also honored Outstanding Faculty Dr. Yixin Chen of Computer Science. Engineer of Distinction, the School's highest achievement honor went to Debra Starnes. Engineer of Service, the School's highest service honor, went to Jim Barnette. It has been a good year for Engineering. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you in next year's banquet.
