Bill Rigby

Bill Rigby is a 1971 Ole Miss Civil Engineering graduate. Additionally he earned the MSCE degree from Georgia Tech. Following graduation from Ole Miss, he served in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps. He retired in 1999 with the rank of Captain. Among his more significant assignments were:

  • PUBLIC WORKS OFFICER - Naval Education and Training Center, Newport, RI
  • OFFICER IN CHARGE OF CONSTRUCTION - Okinawa, Japan
  • COMMANDING OFFICER - Naval Construction Training Center, Port Hueneme, CA
  • COMMANDING OFFICER - Navy Public Works Center, Yokosuka, Japan

Following his Navy career Rigby served as Vice President for Operations with J. A. Jones Management Services in Charlotte, NC. His scope of responsibility included construction, environmental work, and other support services for the US and Canadian governments worldwide.

In April 2004 he resigned from Jones to take the position of Director of Operations with Kellogg Brown and Root in the Arlington, VA office. His focus was primarily in government services.

In May 2005 he accepted the position of Vice President for Facilities Services in Birmingham, AL, for BE&K Government Group. He led this new entity into a successful participant in the federal marketplace.

1n 2009 Rigby resigned from BE&K to accept the position of Senior General Manager with the Mississippi Band of the Choctaw Indians, acquiring and managing federal construction projects with multiple tribally-owned enterprises. His office is in Birmingham, AL.

Rigby is a registered engineer in California and a member of ASCE and SAME. He is also a member of the University of Mississippi Woods Order and Chi Epsilon.
