It is always exciting to be involved when something is being created for the first time. Biomedical engineering's inaugural class of Fall 2017 arrives next year, and we hope you choose to take this journey with us. The new Biomedical Engineering Program has three broad yet challenging interdisciplinary tracks to choose from including: Biomolecular Engineering, Biomedical Systems Engineering and Bioinformatics. While we always think it is an exciting time to be an engineer at the University of Mississippi, with the addition of the new biomedical program, we will be capitalizing on existing Ole Miss Strengths; established and respected departments in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, a top tier engineering school, a nationally recognized university research hospital and medical school in Jackson, and finally all of this uniquely combined within a liberal arts institution.
